ILARIA BERARDI

Inspired by Irish artist and folklorist Michael Fortune’s “The Folklore Collection” (2006/2015) where he documents, through videos and interviews, folkloristic stories around Ireland, ‘Our Memories ’ consists in a collection of photographs, audio recordings and writings. As subject, stories of people reminiscing or commenting about their memories in Johnstown Castle.

By editing the images with tones of reds, pinks, purple and oranges, I tried to convey the dreamy, magical feelings that I felt during the time spent there.
